Amateur Photography Competition (entries open 15th February and close Sunday 16th March 2025)

15th February 2025

This is our first competition and will soon be open for entries.

We are looking for photographs that capture the essence of our lovely park. Whether that is wildlife or the natural landscape, we want to see the moment that you have captured.

The judging panel will be chaired by Lord Cobham, professional photographer Matt Greaves and Joe Hawkins, Head of Landscape at Hagley Park and Visitor Centre and a keen amateur photographer himself.

Together they will choose their favourite six and these will then go to a public vote on our social media sites.

The winning photo will be turned into a picture for you and us to keep.

So how do you enter?

Please upload and post up to three of your favourite photographs to our Instagram page @hagleyparkuk and tag us in to your post. You can also email them to us directly at info@hagleypark.co.uk

  • Maximum of three photos per person
  • In a JPEG or PNG format
  • Please retain a copy of your photos

Entries will be accepted from Saturday 15th February 2025 and close at Midnight on Sunday 16th March 2025.

  • Please note we won’t accept people or pets on the photos
  • The competition is not open to professionals, as we want to champion our local amateurs
  • Please indicate when the photograph was taken
  • Entries from under 18’s will need parental/guardian consent along with their parents/guardian’s name and contact details.

Entries made before the 15th February or after Sunday 16th March 2025 will not be considered

  • Please take your photos responsibly and follow the Countryside Code: The Countryside Code – GOV.UK
  • Do not send us hard copies of your photos
  • Judging panel’s decision is final
  • Entrants whose photographs make the final six, also agree to allowing us to share their entry for the public vote
